NCFC Rapid Housing Initiative

North Central Family Centre Rapid Housing Initiative CH Group

This blog is dedicated to the NCFC Rapid Housing Initiative, a major Regina fundraiser to provide affordable housing to those in need. This project is a collaborative effort between federal, provincial, and municipal governments, the NCFC and local partners including Campbell & Haliburton Group. Before reading on, we want to thank the Regina community’s ongoing support of the NCFC.

NCFC Rapid Housing Housing Details

The North Central Family Centre (NCFC) is a non-profit organization that works tirelessly to assist families by providing programs and services that enhance quality of life. Our communities can only be as productive as the effort that is put into the health and well-being of those who are a part of those communities. That’s what NCFC does so well. They support people to realize their best selves and families.

The demand for affordable housing is well-known, particularly for those in need. NCFC began with a dream to bring relief to those looking to establish themselves in an independent living arrangement. This dream took action when they began their major fundraising initiative in 2023. Since that time, the project has become a collaborative effort between federal, provincial, and municipal governments, the NCFC, and local partners, including Campbell and Haliburton.

The Project

The project includes the construction of an approximately 6,000-square-foot community hub to provide affordable housing to those in need. The 30 housing units will be self-contained for the goal of independent living, offering a variety of layouts, while the communal space has the potential for a laundromat, a teaching/kitchen space, as well as other support services offices, and programming and amenity space. The projected completion is November 2024.
